20 Packs of Cigarettes Stolen at Gunpoint

A man stole 20 packs of cigarettes and then ran from the 7-Eleven located at 1401 City Ave. on Jan. 26 at 4:24 a.m.

According to police a man came into the 7-Eleven at around 4:24 a.m. and asked for 20 packs of cigarettes.

The clerk put the cigarettes down on the counter, and then the man asked for another item.

While the clerk's back was turned to grab the additional items, the man scooped up the packs of cigarettes and ran from the store.  

The clerk chased after the man outside.

The man approached a vehicle and opened one of the doors.  While he opened the door to the vehicle a second man pointed a gun at the clerk from the vehicle.

The clerk stopped running, and the car drove away.

The incident is under further investigation.
