$1,000 Worth of Champagne Stolen, Police Say

A man runs off with three bottles of champagne worth a total of almost $1000.

A man stole three bottles of champagne worth a total of almost $1,000 from the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Store located at 119 W. City Ave. on Oct. 25, at 7:40 p.m.

According to police, a man requested three bottles of Ace of Spades brand champagne while at the register at the Wine and Spirits store.

He attempted to pay for the champagne with a debit card, police said, and when the card was declined, the man grabbed the champagne and ran out of the store.

He was last seen running on Maple Street towards Edgehill Road.
