Local Registered Nurse leads campaign for Pennsylvania Senate to unseat career Democrat.

Cheltenham, PA March 11, 2014: Robin Gilchrist, a local area Registered Nurse has been leading a grass roots effort to run for the Pennsylvania 4th Senatorial District. His kitchen table is his campaign headquarters. It is where he directs a growing group of volunteers. “Like many, I've grown frustrated with Pennsylvania politics. Our voices are not being heard by our State government. I have decided not to wait for the leadership that our state urgently needs. I want to be THE PEOPLES voice in the Pennsylvania Senate. From Feb 18th until yesterday morning I circulated my petitions. The weather for all but two of those days was horrible and presented many obstacles.  I walked over 40 miles, knocked on 3000 doors in Philadelphia, Abington, Cheltenham, Rockledge, and Jenkintown. It was a great experience meeting all who graciously welcomed me into their homes to escape the weather if only for a short while. I was moved by those who offered a glass of water or warm beverage and sometimes even a dinner invite while sitting and discussing your concerns. I especially enjoyed hearing the stories from our veterans of how they defended this great country. I would like you all to know that I heard you loud and clear and I will fight for those have lost their voice because of big money lobbyists and those who are benefiting financially from maintaining the status quo." Robin says he will keep big money lobbyists in the lobby.  Now having been placed on the Ballot in the Republican Primary, Robin Gilchrist identifies the legislative priorities of education reform, tax reform and growing the economy as well as term limits to be some of the main issues to be addressed. " We need term limits so the tuff choices can be made. You can't effect change when your worried about re-election. Win or lose, one term or two I will have the tuff conversations and make the tuff decisions that Pennsylvania's citizens need."
