The Week Ahead: 5 Things to Know
A heads up for those who live or work in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne, Villanova and Rosemont.
1. The Bryn Mawr Civic Association meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. Topics to be discussed include land-use issues in Bryn Mawr, a review of the Bryn Mawr zoning ordinance and an update on township matters. The civic meets at the Bryn Mawr Community Center.
2. Lower Merion School District's school board meets at 8 p.m. Monday in the .
3. The Gladwyne Civic Association meets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., and will join the Merion and Wynnewood civics at the Merion Tribute House, where Lower Merion School District Superintendent Chris McGinley will be speaking. A Q&A session will follow.

4. Highway traffic squeezed: The Schuylkill Expressway will have lane or shoulder restrictions through Lower Merion all week. The left westbound lane will be closed Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for bridge cleaning, while the right shoulders in both directions will be restricted from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
5. All township libraries are closed for business Sunday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.
