Exciting Spring Classes at Main Line School Night

Spring is (finally) here and with its arrival comes some exciting classes at Main Line School Night.

Spring is (finally) here and with its arrival comes some exciting classes at Main Line School Night.

There is still plenty of time to sign up for classes beginning next week. Here is just a sampling of classes taking place at the Creutzburg Center headquarters. It seems as if every restaurant now has new craft beers on the menu and the hand-crafted beer industry keeps producing more and more exciting varieties. In Beer Appreciation: Culture, History and Guided Beer & Cheese Tastings, participate in fun interactive tutorials on the history and evolution of beer while sampling some of these exceptional beers paired with complimentary artisanal cheeses. Experience how these two traditional, farm-produced products enhance one another’s flavors. This 2 week class begins Wednesday, April 24th at 7 pm.

Is wine your drink of choice? In Dessert and Wine: What Can Be Better?, learn about decadent, delicious, and easy-to-prepare desserts and pair them with just the right wines. Delight your palate, impress your guests and make them think you are the culinary expert and wine connoisseur. This class takes place on Thursday, April 25th at 7 pm.

Delight your reading palate in Short Order Literature: The New American Melting Pot. Enjoy and discuss contemporary American short stories from noted authors such as Welty, Cheever and Updike to Erdrich, Alexie and Lahiri. Discover how they fit into the “menu” of American literature. This 6 week class begins on Monday, April 22nd at 11:15 am.

Learn how a contemplative mood and a positive outlook can help you manage everyday stress. In Stress Less: Use Meditation & Guided Imagery, you will start with simple breathing techniques to relieve tension, followed by guided imagery and affirmations to overcome inner blockages and limiting patterns. This 4 week class begins Friday, April 26th at 10:30 am.
