New StreamWatch Volunteers Workshop

Audience: Adults, children ages 12 & up with adult
The Conservancy monitors a network of streams around Lower Merion and Narberth with a stellar network of StreamWatch volunteers. Learn more about becoming a StreamWatch volunteer by joining Conservation Director Patty Thompson for an afternoon of training. Discuss the origins of the program, discover how Mill Creek compares to creeks throughout PA, and learn how to perform the tests and identify common stream macroinvertebrates. If weather allows we’ll journey to Mill Creek to perform some physical tests onsite. Bring rubber boots, otherwise borrow ours.

No prior experience necessary! Meet at the Conservancy’s cottage.
