Can-Do Attitude at Can Collection Kickoff

The 10,000 Can Mother's Day Soup Challenge kicked off Wednesday at MOM's Organic Market in Bryn Mawr with an enthusiastic turnout despite the rain., and there's still time to donate yourself.

Canned and dry goods can be donated at MOM's, 1149 East Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, anytime during store hours. 

MOM's is collecting only food purchased at its store. If you'd like to donate some of your own pantry surplus, you can drop canned and dry goods at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 3625 Chapel Road in Newtown Square.

Collected food will be distributed through the Delaware County Interfaith Food Assistance Network, which operates 12 food pantries in various houses of worship throughout the county. The DCIFAN distributes food to those in need regardless of religion, race, creed, gender or sexual orientation. 

Cans of food will be collected at both locations through Mother's Day, May 11. An anonymous donor will be matching every item, can for can.
