The Sound of Music (1965)

As a plucky young nun, Julie Andrews sings her way into the hearts of the von Trapp family in this screen version of the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Now in its sixth straight year, BMFI’s annual presentation of The Sound of Music has become a holiday tradition for fans of the film and its many memorable songs. Audience participation and costumes are encouraged at this fun-filled event: Wear a wimple, lederhosen, or even dress as “a drop of golden sun”!

Free popcorn if you wear a costume!
