Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)

Frank Capra’s indelible comedy-drama established James Stewart as a major movie star with the role of Jefferson Smith, a naïve idealist who is appointed to fill a vacancy in the U.S. Senate. When he tries to pass his first law, Smith unwittingly throws a wrench into the gears of the political machine as his earnest goals clash with others' corrupt agendas.

City Commissioner Stephanie Singer will introduce this classic political film and remind us all to hit the voting booths on November 5!

Cost: $10.50 (General Admission), $8 (Senior 65+), $7 (Student+ID), $5 (BMFI Member)
