Fish Market Cookbook Signing

Fish Market Cookbook Author and Food Writer Signing Books and Chatting about Seafood at Barnes & Noble Valley Forge

Fish Market (Running Press, 2013) author and syndicated food writer Kathy Hunt will sign cookbooks and answer questions about selecting and preparing seafood and seafood-friendly side dishes at the Valley Forge Barnes & Noble on Friday November 22 at 2 PM. Dubbed by Publisher’s Weekly “a fine guidebook for learning to deal with a cornucopia of seafood,” Fish Market serves up everything that readers need to know about selecting, storing, preparing and pairing healthful fish and shellfish.

Hunt’s cookbook features over 130 creative but approachable recipes, 75 detailed illustrations and a final chapter on seafood-friendly side dishes. Sharing flavor affinities, substitutions, eco-ratings and a bit of history for each dish, this cookbook takes the mystery out of cooking seafood. With 23 million Americans no longer consuming meat and even more taking the less radical step of integrating fish and shellfish into their weekly menus, Fish Market is a timely, useful book for even the most novice cook. It's also a great gift for the holiday season!

A pescetarian for 16 years and writer for more than 20 years, Kathy Hunt’s articles have appeared in such publications as The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, VegNews and online at Zester Daily and Yahoo! Shine. She has also contributed entries to the food encyclopedia Entertaining from Ancient Rome to the Super Bowl (Greenwood Press, 2007) and worked as a recipe tester and photographer. Hunt divides her time between Montgomery County and New York City. For more information visit FishMarketBook.com.
