Concussion Education Course

An in-depth look at the latest concussion recommendations, including:

  • The prevention of concussions and mild head injuries in adolescents and adults
  • How to recognize the warning signs that indicate a concussion/mild head injury has occurred
  • How to intervene in the event that a concussion/mild head injury is suspected
  • How to determine when it is appropriate to return to school, work or play


Who should attend: School administrators, sports
administrators, athletic directors, coaches, referees, trainers, school
sports team physicians, school physicians and nurses, and guidance
counselors are encouraged to attend.



Keynote speaker: Phil Martelli, head coach of St
Joseph's University men's basketball. Panel members will include
physicians, neuropsychologists, and Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital clinical
specialists.
