Weather Service Warns of Icy Roads in Thursday Morning Commute

No schools in Bryn Mawr or Gladwyne announced closings or delayed openings.

After sub-freezing temperatures overnight Wednesday into Thursday, the National Weather Service warned motorists of "patchy icing" on roads Thursday morning after Wednesday's winter storm.

"Temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until after the morning commute, so please be careful when driving this morning," an NWS advisory read.

Up to 2 inches of snow accumulated throughout the Philadelphia area, according to NWS measurements.

Thursday's forecast calls for a partly sunny day with high temperatures in the upper 40s and no predicted precipitation.

For Thursday's school sessions in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, NBC Philadelphia reported no cancellations or delayed openings.
