Viewfinder: Running to Beat Cancer
The Adam R. Spector Hodgkin's Walk to Win/5K Run continues its record of fundraising success.
Saturday's third annual Adam R. Spector Hodgkin's Walk to Win/5K Run took place at with more than 100 runners and walkers signed up to help raise money to fund research at prominent institutions developing new drug therapies for Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Adam Spector was a 1999 graduate of Harriton High School. In 2003, he contracted Hodgkin's Lymphoma and died in 2007. To learn more about Adam's life and his courageous battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, visit the foundation's website.
Adam's family helped in the formation of, and works for the advancement of, the Adam R. Spector Foundation. This year was the first time a 5K run was incorporated into the event, and runners from the region showed up to race and have a chance at winning one of the many prizes for the best times. There were also prizes for other attendees that were supplied by numerous sponsors. Our gallery tells the story with photos.
