Baby Dies After Breathing Stopped at Library

An infant died Wednesday after authorities say she stopped breathing in the Ludington Library.

A 3-month-old baby girl died on Wednesday after she stopped breathing while at the Ludington Library in Bryn Mawr, authorities say.

When it was discovered that the infant was not breathing, a number of people in the library worked to try and revive the girl before emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene, according to Tom Walsh, Public Information Officer for Lower Merion Township.

Lower Merion Township Police and Narberth Ambulance responded to the library and took over the attempt to save her life. She was pronounced dead at Bryn Mawr Hospital. An inquest is being done by the Montgomery County Coroner, which is procedure for this kind of death.
