Million-Dollar House Tour: Rosemont Home

This completely renovated, 100-year-old Rosemont home is on the market for $1,750,000.

This 100-year-old stone Rosemont home was renovated in 2002 and has all modern systems and equipment. Including the carriage house, it has about 9,000 square feet of space. Its kitchen is lined with custom wood cabinets, and is filled with numerous appliances. Located at 1101 W. Montgomery Ave., it contains a living room, dining room, sitting room, enclosed porch and unique octagonal room. The main house has five full bedrooms and four baths. The carriage house has one bedroom, kitchenette, seating area and bath. It is connected to a three-car garage. It has hardwood floors throughout most of the house, including the basement.

While it is unusual for us to do so, we photographed this property after the owners moved out. The house seemed a perfect example of how old meets new when it comes to renovation. The house was updated without compromising the features that make a 100-year-old house special. The photo gallery and its captions will show you why.
