'Code Blue' Called in Montgomery County, From Saturday Through Tuesday

With the wind-chill factor, it's expected to feel 20 degrees or colder at times during the weekend and early next week.

Montgomery County issued a Code Blue cold-weather alert Thursday afternoon, effective 6 p.m. Saturday and expiring at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

National Weather Service forecasts prompted the alert, according to county officials.

Code Blues are issued when the combination of air temperature and wind chill is anticipated to be 20 degrees or less, posing an especially serious threat to anyone without shelter.
