Acme has been out of touch with consumers for years - high prices, lousy selection, poor service etc, etc, etc.. Time to move aside and let some real retailers in - Wegmens & Whole Foods.

Although Acme does have some higher prices than many other stores, I must confess that they have a greater selection of many items than even Wegman's. It is also a very strategically placed store for many of the local colleges and this fall should find students delighted with their re-opening!

The Bryn Mawr team is excellent. They are very customer focused. The Acme is finally taking a tune to compete with the upscale Whole Foods entries. I hope the store is a success!!! So far I have been very impressed. I shop everywhere - so happy to have them finally provide an interesting shopping experience to Bryn Mawr.

Food Trade News, July 2012 issue, predicts all Acmes to be closed or sold at fire sale prices. The Acme banner is worthless and like Genuardi's, different retailers will pick from the Acme carcass what they can use and other locations will never be food store ever again like Bryn Mawr. Most Acmes are not profitablle.
