Shopping Event, a 53-Year Tradition, to Benefit Shipley

Shipley Shops Gift and Boutique Show, a 53-year Main Line tradition, will be open for customers today, Oct. 17, through Saturday, Oct. 19. More than 40 vendors from across the country will be displaying and selling their wares, and a portion of every purchase benefits the Shipley School.

Among this year’s vendors are Lilly Pulitzer, Neiman Marcus and J. McLaughlin. In addition, cooking show host Hope Cohen will be signing copies of her cookbook “Fast Fresh + Simple” from 2 to 4 p.m. today.

Shipley Shops will be in the Yarnall Gymnasium at The Shipley School on Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr. The shops are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today; 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Admission today and Friday is $10 for adults; $5 for seniors; free for students 18 and under. Admission is free on Saturday. Shipley Shops is open to the public.
