'Shame on MilkBoy Coffee' T-shirts Being Sold by Ardmore MilkBoy for Charity

The coffee shop's Ardmore location is selling T-shirts with the anti-MilkBoy slogan as part of a charity effort to help a nearby business owner.

Though the "Shame on MilkBoy Coffee" slogan is one that's been used at the Metropolitan Regional Council of Carpenters' morning demonstrations outside the coffee shop,  itself is now selling shirts that say just that, according to an Ardmore Patch report.

Despite the ongoing controversy between the carpenters' union and the coffee shop, MilkBoy's Ardmore location is selling the T-shirts for $10 a pop to raise money to defray medical costs for nearby r manager Paddy Dougherty, who recently underwent a kidney transplant.

The shirts, which are already a big hit after sales began Feb. 25 at the Ardmore location, are turning a profit of about $5 per shirt. The money from the T-shirts will help fund a fundraising party for Dougherty to be held April 3 at McCloskey's.
