Moms Eat Local: Cosi

Find out how kid-friendly Cosi in Bryn Mawr is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Cosi is a good place to eat with your children.

Restaurant:

Is there a kids’ menu? Yes--it has grilled cheese, a turkey sandwich, a ham and cheese sandwich, flatbread pizza, peanut butter and jelly and a tuna sandwich. All kids meals come with a choice of chips, carrots or a fruit cup. To drink, the choice is soda, juice or milk. For dessert, there is a chocolate chip cookie.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The turkey sandwich, tuna sandwich and peanut butter and jelly are the healthiest main items while the carrots, fruit cup and juice or milk are healthy sides and beverages.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert the staff, and they will be as accommodating as they can be.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Kids and babies are more than welcome here. In fact, Cosi was named #1 "Fast-Casual Restaurant" by Parents magazine in 2009.
