Moms Eat Local: Bake 425˚

Find out how kid-friendly Bake 425˚ in Bryn Mawr is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Bake 425˚ is a good place to eat with your children.

Restaurant: Bake 425˚, 1012 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA

Is there a kids’ menu? Not officially, but they do have smaller personal pizzas, "ginormous" cookies, apple crisp and "the party box," which comes with five 9-inch dough shells, tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella and toppings, pizza-chef aprons, pizza cutter, hats and instructions. I would compare "the party box" to a take-home pizza party for your kids.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The ingredients used at Bake 425˚ are high quality, organic and locally sourced when possible. The items here could be some of the healthiest options on the Main Line.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert the staff, and they will be as accommodating as possible. They do offer some gluten-free options, which is great if your children are gluten-intolerant. Another plus is that almost everything is made to order, which allows for more flexibility.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Kids and babies are more than welcome.
