Maido's Fans Plan Saturday Morning 'Cash Mob' in Narberth

The Japanese grocery has announced plans to move out of the borough.

The Narberth Business Association is organizing a "cash mob" invasion of shoppers Saturday morning at the Japanese grocery store Maido!, whose proprietors told Patch they are preparing to leave the borough this spring in search of lower rent and more space elsewhere in the Main Line.

Business leaders are hoping, though, that an uptick in Maido! business could help keep the store in town. From the NBA's Facebook page:

Saturday, January 12, 10am. Join the cash mob at Maido! For the last ten years, Seiko and Pat Dailey have made Maido into a local treasure for Narberth. Pat has been the president of the Business Association for the last seven years, and has created many of the Narberth events, including The Narberth Dickens Festival. Join your friends and neighbors in a show of support for Maido, by stopping by on Saturday morning to do some shopping.
