Bryn Mawr MilkBoy Closes for Renovations, Rebranding

The new coffee shop is expected to reopen in early August.

Bryn Mawr MilkBoy closed its doors July 4 for renovations and should reopen early August under a different name, which has not yet been announced.

Natalia Carignan from Tommy Joyner and Jamie Lokoff, who still own the Ardmore and Philadelphia MilkBoy locations. Carignan signed a five-year lease.

What are you hoping for? What do you want to see stay the same and what do you want to see changed? Tell us in the comments.

Renovations will include a new floor and painting, Carignan told Patch in March. The shop will continue to serve Counter Culture coffee and the same baked goods, and patrons and students will still receive discounts.

I'd like to see the name not change.

Maybe some healthy snacks that could be brought into the movie? Have to coordinate with concessions but might be possible. ALSO, HOT CHOCOLATE bar in winter? I mean the really good stuff such as they have in Europe; maybe a couple of variants? Anything would be an improvement over what is commercially served. Good luck with everything.
