Bala Cynwyd AM Sports Radio Station 610 WIP Taking Over 94.1 FM Signal

Morning anchor Angelo Cataldi and colleagues announced the move Thursday morning. It takes effect Sept. 6.

The Bala Cynwyd-based sports radio station WIP, which for decades has broadcast on 610 AM, will on Sept. 6 begin also using the 94.1 FM signal, WIP personalities announced about 9:45 a.m. Thursday.

94.1 has been the longtime home of Center City-based classic rock station WYSP, WIP's sister station at .

"We will have access to more ears than we've ever had before and, we'd like to believe, an opportunity at a time when sports is percolating in this town like never before," said Angelo Cataldi, WIP's morning program anchor. "We are thrilled to be able to make this announcement today."
