Ice Cream Social at Harriton? Sure to be a real treat! Fathers get theirs for free too!

On Father's Day enjoy fresh ice cream made from the milk of local cows & see calves up close! You don't want to miss this memorable family friendly event, so grab Dad and join us!

The Dairy Days Ice Cream Social is a special annual event honoring fathers on Fathers Day, Sunday June 16, 2013, from 4 to 6 PM. Historically, from 1909 until almost 1930, Harriton was known as the Harriton Guernsey Dairy. This farm, which provided rich milk and cream to the neighborhood, was an active and important participant in a flourishing dairy industry in southeastern Pennsylvania. To honor this, we bring at least one “Guernsey Girl” for you to see and meet from the last 100% Guernsey herd in Pennsylvania. In case you are wondering, “Guernsey” is a specific breed of cow, which originates from the Isle of Guernsey. Generally, they can be recognized by their red and white patterned coats, and their milk is especially rich and creamy (Certainly the best for Ice Cream!). Come and eat this very special Guernsey ice cream at an old fashioned ice cream social. Don't miss it!  $6.00 per person but Dad eats free! Families of 6 or more need only pay a flat fee of $30.00. Please refer to the contact information below and tell us your coming, so we can make sure you’ll get your bowl!
