Woman Falls to Death Outside Lower Merion Park

Police say she ran into Eco Valley Park after her missing dog. Her body was found late Wednesday night.

A 48-year-old Bala Cynwyd Woman is dead after Lower Merion Police say she fell from a steep incline while in search of a missing pet. 

Police have determined the death was accidental.

According to Lower Merion public information officer Tom Walsh, Deborah Tobin went missing on Wednesday night after police say she went into Eco Valley Nature Park in search of her dog.

Police, aided by a K9 unit, searched the park and, according to Walsh, at 11:45 p.m. found Tobin’s body on private property on the 100 block of Rock Hill Road.

Tobin appeared to have fallen down a steep incline and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Walsh.

An official cause of death is pending the Montgomery County Coroner’s Officer determination.
