Junior Author Contest Names Winners

Children entered their work in the categories of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.

 

The Gladywne Library League held a ceremony on Friday, Feb. 22 at Gladwyne Elementary School to honor the winners of its 41st Annual Junior Author Contest.

The Junior Authors contest is open to local schools/children from first through fifth grade in the categories of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.

This year the contest received 784 entries from 15 local schools. Read the list of winners in the pdf section of this article.

Judging the contest are teachers from the Wetherill School in Gladwyne. The prizes are books that are hand-picked by the staff of Children’s Book World in Haverford. About 250 people attend the awards ceremony.
