The drama is lauded for its advanced and influential camera techniques, such as the famous close-up on Maria Falconetti, whose portrayal of Joan of Arc is considered one of cinema’s best performances by an actress. This screening will be introduced by BMFI instructor and Temple University faculty member Maurizio Giammarco, Ph.D.
