Special Performance of "Platero y Yo"

Rosemont College and the Anna-Maria Moggio Foundation present a special production of "Platero y Yo" by pianist Sandrine Erdely-Sayo and narrator Elizabeth Quintero. Written in 1917 by Spanish poet and Nobel Prize winner Juan Ramón Jimenéz, "Platero y Yo" is a lyric portrait of life and a little donkey named Platero. Nearly a century later, Arabesque Records New York commissioned Sandrine Erdely-Sayo to set this classic work to music. She recorded 15 pieces for piano that were released in 2010. The performance will be held in McShain Performing Arts Center and be immediately followed by a reception in Main Building.
