3" of Snow Fell Friday in Lower Merion, Weather Service Reports

A messy mix is in Monday's forecast.

A National Weather Service spotter in Wynnewood measured exactly three inches of snow once the storm had moved through late Friday evening, according to the NWS.

That's on the high end of the range of snowfall totals throughout the Philadelphia area. Philadelphia International Airport reportedly got 1.5 inches, while Radnor Township's Villanova section measured 2.3 inches.

The NWS forecast calls for a clear weekend before a chance of snow, freezing rain, sleet and rain on Monday.

Scheduled for Monday are a Lower Merion School District school board meeting and a Narberth council meeting (with Lower Merion Board of Commissioners participation) on the subject of whether the intersection of Wynnewood Road and Wynnewood Avenue needs a traffic signal.

Temperatures are expected to warm up gradually over the next several days; Tuesday's forecast high temperature is 51.
