The National Weather Service is tracking bands of heavy precipitation that may dump as many as 5 inches of rain on us through Thursday morning.

Both a flood watch and a hazardous weather outlook are in effect for the area.

Rain will begin by midday Tuesday, and will continue through through Thursday, but the heaviest rain will be Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

"Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop," the NWS said.

If and/or when the heavy rain comes, and the roads become flooded, like on Byberry at Masons's Mill, Pioneer, Frontier, and Mason's Mill Rd... as well as York and Mill... do yourself and the Fire Department and Police Department a huge favor. DON'T be a dumbass and drive through the water because YOU think the FLOODED ROAD sign doesn't apply to you. TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN. Please don't endanger first responder's lives by being STUPID. Thank you.

Just as an aside, considering our crazy weather recently, can you imagine if it was cold enough to snow (like it was a few weeks ago)? We'd be getting upwards to FIVE feet of snow in two days! Most of us wouldn't even be able to get out of the house! Well, at least we don't need to shovel rain (though some folks might end up needing to pump it out of their house...)!

Hear, hear. Likewise, I'm grateful it was not dropped on us as snow. Our recently ended winter felt as though it lasted for five months as it was.

Listening to the police radio since before 6 pm. The police are absolutely beside themselves because arrogant, dumbass, better-than-everybody, the-signs-don't-apply-to-me people continue to drive around roadblocks into deep water. I think they need NAIL STRIPS. You put a sign up that says NAIL STRIPS AHEAD. If they are stupid enough to think it's a fake, let them drive over them. And the township would NOT be liable for their tires, repairs or stupidity. I can't even fathom how aggravated these first responders are, when they're out there to PROTECT and serve some people who are such complete ASSES and IDIOTS.
