Get Out: Winnie The Pooh, Crafts at the Library and More

When: Saturday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m.
Where: Bryn Mawr Film Institute
Why Go: This weekend enjoy the 2011 Winnie The Pooh movie at Bryn Mawr Film Institute. Visit the Hundred Acre Wood and visit Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Pooh. In their latest outing, the gang sets out on slew of adventures, including a hunt for Eeyore’s lost tail and a quest to locate the missing Christopher Robin. Join the fun with Pooh and keep an eye out for Heffalumps.
Cost: $4 kids, $5 adults

When: Saturday, Dec. 29 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: Ludington Library
Why Go: Bring the kids to the library on Saturday for a Winter Wonderland Craft program. Make a magical sparkle and shine diorama with lots of fun materials to experiment with. You will also take home a bag of magical treats. Fun for the whole family!

When: Sunday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m.
Where: The Finley House, 113 West Beechtree Lane, Wayne
Why Go: Bennett Hill will read excerpts from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This is a traditional Radnor Historical Society event. Every other year, Bennett, a member of the RHS Board for over 30 years, an RHS guide, and a guide at Historic Waynesborough, reads an abridged version of this classic Christmas tale by the fire in the front parlor. Refreshments, including eggnog, will be served at the interval.

Craft Forms Exhibit

When: Daily through January 26
Where:Wayne Art Center
Why Go: Craft Forms is an annual international juried exhibition dedicated to enhancing the public's awareness of fine contemporary craft while providing a venue for established and emerging artists alike to share their creative endeavors. Craft Forms, now in its 18th year, is open to all professional artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood or mixed media crafts.
Cost: $10

When: Friday, Dec. 28 at 8 p.m.
Where:Brownies 23 East
Why Go:Throughout the 1990’s, Strange as Angels was the Delaware valley’s first and #1 alternative rock band; setting attendance records and creating a level of anticipation and excitement that transformed the club experience. SAA is gearing up to re-capture the spirit and unique brand of fun that can only happen at a Strange as Angels show. Bring an extra $10 to buy the all new SAA t-shirt, all net proceeds will go to the Red Cross/Hurricane Sandy relief fund.

When: Saturday, Dec. 29 from 10 a.m. - Noon

Why Go: Celebrate the holidays with your young ones at the Community Recreation and Environmental Center at the Haverford Reserve. There will be music, light refreshments and a variety of games and activities. Ring in the year at noon with a balloon drop. Ages 2 - 8.
