A heads up for those who live or work in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne, Rosemont and Villanova.

  1. Bryn Mawr Film Institute is showing the animated comedy Rango at 11 a.m. Saturday. For a full schedule of the week's films and showtimes at BMFI, visit brynmawrfilm.org.
  2. A Lower Merion public hearing is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday on a proposed law governing conversions of houses of worship.
  3. On Friday afternoon at Harriton High School, Lower Merion School District will have its annual Afternoon of Service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Find more information about the event at the district's website.
  4. The Lower Merion School District school board meets at 8 p.m. Monday. The agenda and minutes will be posted here, on the district's website.
  5. The shoulders of the Schuylkill Expressway through Lower Merion will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for sweeping, PennDOT reports.
