This year’s show features remarks from a young fashion celebrity, Helen Castillo, the 26-year-old New Jersey native who was a finalist in last season's hit television show “Project Runway.” Castillo will be speaking about her design process, her experience on the show, and showing highlights from her Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection during the event.

“Every year, we proudly showcase the inspired designs of our talented students,” said Julian Crooks, instructor and program coordinator for continuing studies in design. “This is a fun, community event during which we celebrate the work of our students, some of whom may themselves be featured on a show like ‘Project Runway.’”

The fashion show is organized by members of the Harcum College Fashion Club, which includes students from the Design and Fashion Merchandising programs. Harcum’s Fashion Design Program is based on a foundation in art and design, with additional studies in retail management and business. With a core curriculum of both merchandising and business, the Retail Merchandising Program is designed to educate students on fashion trends and designs, fabrics, and garment construction.

Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for non-students. Tickets can be purchased on Harcum College’s website at www.harcum.edu. For more information on the show, contact Julian Crooks at 610-526-6087 or jcrooks@harcum.edu.
