The 22nd Harriton Plantation Fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th, 10AM to 4PM (rain or shine).
This major event in Lower Merion Township features crafts, antiques, sheep herding, pony rides, historic house tours, childrens' games, muskets and soldiers, blacksmiths, stone carvers, cabinet makers, spinners, weavers, Bluegrass music and Colonial songs, birds of prey (a new addition!), and much more.
Through the generosity of award-winning chef Walter Staib of the historic City Tavern in Philadelphia, this year you will have the opportunity to bid on and win a dinner for six persons at Harriton with a private tour of the historic house and colonial cocktails while you watch Chef Staib prepare your special dinner over the open hearth at Harriton, where Chef Staib films his Emmy Award winning television series A Taste of History.
The Fair also features the Harriton Attic Treasures Booth, which is the best flea market on the Main Line, the Harriton Farm stand featuring flowers and organic produce from the Harriton garden (sponsored this year by Whole Foods Markets), all of which help to assure Harriton's continued operation as an historic site.

More About Harriton House
The Harriton House and the surrounding estate grounds offer a historic park experience in Bryn Mawr. Occupancy of the house dates back more than 300 years, originating with the purchase of the land by a group of Quakers from William Penn in 1682. Daily visits and tours are welcome, and school field trips and educational tours are available with advance notice. In addition, the house hosts a number of community activities throughout the year, such as ice cream socials, apple tastings and private chef events. Visit the Harriton House Web site for more information about the house and the programs offered.
