Township Launches 'Bryn Mawr 100' Contest
A winner will get a one-year membership to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute.
Lower Merion Township announced a history contest Friday in reference to the Bryn Mawr 100.
A series of pictures of the century-old Bryn Mawr institutions are currently on display in the board room of the Lower Merion Township Building, and residents are invited to submit guesses of the 47 featured buildings, according to a township news release.
Entry forms are available in the board room along with the entry collection box, and a winner will be selected before the last Board of Commissioners meeting of the year on Dec. 21. The winner will receive a one-year membership to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute.
The Camera Shop in Bryn Mawr created the posters, and BMFI donated the membership, according to the township release.
Bryn Mawr 100's slogan is "remembering the past; embracing the future." Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch profiled the 19 institutions in Bryn Mawr leading up to the September celebration.
