Thanksgiving Leftovers: What Do You Do With Them?

Share your best recipes for after the Thanksgiving feast.

Dinner’s done and the only thing more stuffed than the bird is you. Now the question becomes: What to do with all those leftovers?

While many say simple reheating is all that’s necessary to have a “day after” feast, others have elaborate recipes for turning Thanksgiving leftovers into gourmet delights.

From savory turkey soups to sinfully delicious pot pies and mile-high sandwiches, everyone has their own ideas on what to do with what’s leftover. The Food Network even has an entire recipe collection dedicated to the topic.

Ardmore Patch blogger Adrian Seltzer shared some suggestions last year: chili, stuffing patties, Thanksgiving wraps, curried turkey salad and soup, including a recipe for Hill of Beans Soup.

Take small dollops of leftovers and wrap in a small square of puff pastry dough (like a mini turnover) and bake! Fill them with mashed potato, stuffing, a hunk of turkey, etc). Tastes awesome and an easy finger food.

Layer leftover stuffing in the bottom of a casserole dish
Shred some (all) of leftover turkey meat, mix with leftover gravy, thinned a bit with leftover stock, spread in casserole dish on top of stuffing
Spread leftover mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes on top of all.
Heat in oven at 350°F until nice and hot ( ça 25 min)
If you like you can turn on the broiler for a few mins to brown the little peaks in the potatoes.
Enjoy.
