Police Blotter: Public Drunkenness in Bryn Mawr, Rosemont
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:
Public drunkenness: A 24-year-old Lansdowne resident was arrested about 2 a.m. June 29 on the unit block of Thomas Avenue in Bryn Mawr, police said. The man had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and was cited for public drunkenness upon sobering, police said.
Public drunkenness: A 21-year-old Villanova student from Poughkeepsie, N.Y., was stopped at Rose Lane and Lancaster Avenue in Rosemont, where police saw him staggering down the sidewalk about 1 a.m. June 30, police said. The man was cited for public drunkenness upon sobering.
Public drunkenness: Police stopped two 24-year-old Bryn Mawr men on the 1000 block of Reese Avenue in Bryn Mawr about 2:30 a.m. July 1, police said. The men were both cited for public drunkenness upon sobering.

Can't LM Police leave 'Nova students alone?? I know they need to make money off of them to stay one of the richest departments in the country, but they should be concerned with real criminals. These kids are WALKING home. You can't drink & drive, so how do they expect them to get home. LM Police have nothing better to do.
