Police Activity: Rape Reported in Bryn Mawr, DUI, Fires
Police also responded to a car crash involving a bicycle.
Lower Merion police responded to 202 calls the week of July 23 through July 29 throughout Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, up from 195 calls the previous week, department records show.

During that week, police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:
- 1 forcible rape, at 4:44 a.m. July 26 on the 100 block of South Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bryn Mawr
- 1 DUI, at 2:44 a.m. July 27 on the 900 block of Mount Pleasant Road in Gladwyne
- 3 fires: one at 8:10 p.m. July 24 on the 300 block of Airdale Road in Rosemont; one at 6:59 p.m. July 26 on the 700 block of West Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr; and one at 7:05 p.m. July 27 on the 2200 block of North Stone Ridge Lane in Villanova
- 1 car crash involving a bicycle, at 4:38 p.m. July 27 at Dove Lake and Black Rock roads in Gladwyne
- 6 car crashes with property damage
- 7 reports of suspicious people, circumstances or vehicles
- 1 bicycle theft, of over $200, from the unit block of Morris Avenue in Bryn Mawr
