Police Activity: Knife Assault, Thefts Investigated

Police calls decreased again in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne.

 

Lower Merion police responded to 191 calls the week of June 18 throughout Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, down from 200 calls the previous week, department records show.

A version of the department's most recent report, sorted by the type of incident with incidents from the rest of Lower Merion removed, is attached to this article.

During that week, police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • 1 assault with a knife, at 9:10 a.m. June 20 on the first block of Thomas Avenue
  • 2 DUIs
  • 1 credit card/ATM fraud
  • 3 car crashes with property damage
  • 2 citations for public drunkenness
  • 1 suicide
  • 4 thefts, including two bicycles
