Eagles' Losing Streak Hits Seven Games
The Philadelphia Eagles fumble away game to Carolina Panthers to extend their losing streak to seven games.

It's hard to win football games when your team can't hang on to the ball. And the Philadelphia Eagles did just that, fumbling three times and losing to the Carolina Panthers in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football.
The 30-22 loss is the seventh straight for the Eagles, who continued to stumble in turning over the football and making mistakes that killed drives and fueled the Panthers to victory.
Rookie Bryce Brown looked exciting in running for more than 140 yards as the replacement for LeSean McCoy, who was out with a concussion.
Brown also coughed up the football twice, giving the Panthers the chance to put points on the board.
Carolina QB Cam Newton, making his MNF debut, rushed for two scores and tossed two passes for TDs.
Those two passes were to two wide-open receivers.
The Birds defense once again did absolutely nothing. In fact, at one stage late in the game, the Birds D had three straight offsides calls.
It was hard enough playing without McCoy and Michael Vick, but the Birds lost wideout DeSean Jackson to injury early.
QB Nick Foles did nothing to impress in his second-start filling in for Vick. While he called some nice audibles, Foles' passes never hit their targets. Many were behind the receivers.
The Birds started the game strong on their first drive, but then stumbled once again in the Red Zone, settling for a field goal.
Brown had several big runs, including a 65-yard sidelines gallop where he blew through and by the Panthers defense, but he fumbled twice in the second half.
It looked like rookie Brandon Boykin might break one on a kick return, but he also fumbled, which basically sealed the deal for the Panthers.
Jon Gruden called this game. Here's hoping he calls games from the Birds sidelines as coach next year.
So now the Eagles are 3-8. They need to win their last five to get to .500, something which they achieved last year by winning their final four.
Next up is the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, another national televised game, and another chance for the Birds to show the country just how bad a football team they really are.

I totally agree, when you hire someone that hurts an innocent there are consequences. It is not the team it is the owners that insist that Andy and Michael stay. The owners only care about money and winning,I stopped watching the Eagles when Mr. Vick came. Maybe in 2013 I can watch again.

Don't worry Con-Vick will be broke again within 5 years of leaving the NFL which will be around 2014 after he suckers one more foolish into signing him after he is cut by the Eagles in January.

Regardless of the injuries, a coach is supposed to find ways to win games. Not make lain-brained decisions that would end up jeopardizing the season and the team's reputation. It's definitely time for a change. Hopefully Mr. Lurie will do the right thing for both his team, and for the fans and fire Andy Reid, the assistant coaches, and draft decent players. Not player wannabees, like we have now...

Unfortunately, it probably wouldn't matter in the least as the tickets are paid for and the cash is in the bank. Might hurt consessions but that's about it.

There is one good thing to come of this season, this YouTube video....it is made by Joe Conklin's daughter and is very funny. FOR SALE: One slightly used stadium, plenty of parking, great location right off I-95, great for outdoor events, swap meets, demolition derbys, large weddinng receptions. The possibilities are endless, might be used for football if owners can find a team that remembers how to play the game (we can dream can't we?).

Honestly, I'm rooting for them to lose out. Let's make Reid's exit as painful as possible. Yes, losing is son is something we can never get angry about, but wouldn't that inspire you to get your team to play a little better than this?

Classic eagles fan ignorance. Andy Reid is a major reason why you feel entitled to win due to his performance over the last 14 years. So how do you appriciate him? Gloss over his personal struggles (caused by his devotion to this team over his own family) and wish him ill will. That kind of knee-jerk reactionary fan is the worst, and you get what you deserve from your team.

I hope they lose all of their remaining games and go 3-13. This way the next coach will have some solid draft picks to work with. The only bad news is if they allow that nerd Howie Roseman to pick the players, it won't matter. The Eagles need to hire some real football people in the front office instead of letting a bunch of salary cap/bean counters run the team.

We do tend to kick the coach when he's down, but it comes under, " What have you done for me lately". Foles needs experience and a better front line. Let's hope Chucky can come a get them back to a great team. Meanwhile root for Pittsburgh, the other Pa team.
