Pain at the Pump: Gas Prices Rising Here, Statewide

Household budget feeling tighter in recent weeks? Higher gas prices might be to blame.

 

Gas prices in your neighborhood are ticking up. 

The current average price of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is $3.889 and rising, up from $3.669 a month ago.

Despite the rise, analyst Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy.com—the parent company of PennsylvaniaGasPrices.com—thinks prices will drop soon.

"Even with Isaac long gone, the oil industry is still bringing capacity back online- at refineries and oil rigs, which is keeping pressure on prices," DeHaan said in a press release. "Supply remains tight across the country as we slowly approach the transition to winter-spec gasoline, but I continue to be firm in believing that the national average will start to decline towards the end of September, as is typically the case.”
