Just one year ago, we had that snow storm the weekend before Halloween that knocked out power to many homes for days. Trees were down across roads and crews weren't able to get to them for days. You can share info about what's going on in your neighborhood by commenting or adding to our live chat.

Can anyone please give me an update on the situation in the vicinity of Montgomery Av and N. Merion? I am very concerned. I have not had word from a loved one living in the BMC faculty/staff apartment building located just near that intersection. So worried for her and for all affected by this storm! God preserve her and all of you!

Hi Paul,
Our community sustained minimal damage. Mostly with power outages with trees being down. If that apt. building was affected I would have heard as I go to Bryn Mawr College and know people who live there. I just arrived at home from staying with family near by. I will drive by there tomorrow. My best guess is that they have no power as it is close to campus and campus went out yesterday afternoon/evening. The Philly area was very lucky!

Power was restored to campus and probably to the faculty building as well. Classes resume tomorrow.
