Christine Havrilla at Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts

  • When/Where: 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at the Bryn Mawr Gazebo, 9 S. Bryn Mawr Ave.
  • Why Go: Christine Havrilla is on a national tour right now, bringing her "well-built, catchy, smart tunes" (Upstage Magazine) to Bryn Mawr on Saturday. She was selected as one of the "Top 10 Indie Artists" by Advocate Magazine. Samantha Gongol opens.
  • Cost: Donation is $10 per person, children ages 16 and younger are free.

"Company" at BMFI

  • When/Where: 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 31 at
  • Why Go: This is the second encore broadcast of "Company," a play that was performed only a few times. The story is about a bachelor (Neil Patrick Harris) celebrating his 35th birthday and the non-chronological events surrounding it and involving five of his married couple friends.
  • Cost: $20 general admission, $18 members, $10 students/seniors

That's Entertainment! Dancesport Student Showcase

  • Where/When: 's Connelly Center from 5:30 to 11 p.m. on Sunday, July 31
  • Why Go: Check out a social dance party and professional show hosted by Dancesport. Students will dance in pairs with professional ballroom and Latin dancers and formation groups. Then meet, greet and dance with performers and pros during the social dancing at intermission and after the show. 
  • Cost: $20 for adults, $10 for kids and students

  • When/Where: Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 31 at 300 Montgomery Ave., Merion Station, Pa. (Bob Wark's Liberty Gas Station)
  • Why Go: OK, so it may not be "entertainment" per se, but Harriton High School's Science Olympiad team will host a car wash on Sunday to raise funds for travel to national competitions and for the purchase of science equipment.
  • Cost: Donations requested

"Touch-a-Truck" Fundraiser for Freedom Playground

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at Freedom Playground/Community Park at Haverford Reserve, 3500 Darby Road, Haverford. (Rescheduled from July 23 due to heat.)
  • Why Go: Climb in and check out construction trucks, motorcycles, fire trucks, trash trucks, a cement mixer, police cars, ambulances, a school bus, tow trucks and more. Plus, enjoy some “no touch” antique cars and a bounce house. Proceeds go toward purchasing shade canopies for Freedom Playground. T-shirts, snacks, food and more will be available for purchase.
  • Cost: $20 per car/family or $5 per person.
