Forecast: Up to 3 Inches of Snow Overnight

The National Weather Service predicted a 100 percent chance of precipitation from Wednesday evening through early Thursday morning in the Philadelphia area.

 

Up to 3 inches of snow is expected to fall early Thursday morning in the Philadelphia area, according to a National Weather Service forecast Wednesday afternoon.

The predicted timeline was as follows for Philadelphia International Airport:

  • Late Wednesday afternoon: Rain. High near 44. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday night: Rain and snow before 3am, then a slight chance of snow between 3am and 4am. Low around 31. East wind around 8 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46. West wind around 6 mph.

"Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible."

What about that was blown? I got precipitation. It was about 1 inch. Looks like a dead on forecast to me.

Really? I live in Phoenixville and I didn't have to shovel anything. Driveway was clear. Must have been the snow elves.
