Bryn Mawr College Ranked No. 1 by Washington Monthly

The college was ranked first among liberal-arts colleges.

 

Bryn Mawr College was ranked No. 1 among liberal-arts colleges in Washington Monthly's annual rankings of U.S. colleges and universities.

Washington Monthly's rankings are based on social mobility, research and service

“While I caution parents and students against putting too much stock into any single ranking or indicator, it is gratifying to have Bryn Mawr recognized for values, such as access, research-intensive teaching and service to society, that are core to its institutional identity ,” Bryn Mawr President Jane McAuliffe told Bryn Mawr Now.

Bryn Mawr College ranked No. 3 on Washington Monthly's liberal arts list last year.

Bryn Mawr College ranked 52 overall this year (and 44 among private colleges) on Forbes' America's Top Colleges list. Forbes' criteria include "quality of teaching, great career prospects, high graduation rates and low-levels of debt."
