Adam R. Spector Foundation Nominated for Grant

The Gladwyne foundation was nominated by Chase Community Giving.

The Adam R. Spector Foundation has been nominated by Chase Community Giving to receive grant money if enough votes are earned in an online campaign.

The foundation, which funds research to develop new drug therapies and treatments for Hodgkin's lymphoma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families managing Hodgkin's, can receive at least a $10,000 grant from Chase if enough votes are earned. The charity will receive funds if it is one of 196 charities to receive the most votes.

The Adam R. Spector foundation is named after a Gladwyne resident and Harriton High School's 1999 valedictorian who died of Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 25 in April 2007. An annual Walk to Win/5K is held at Harriton in his honor.

To vote, visit Chase Community Giving's Facebook app if you have a Facebook account or www.chasegiving.com if you have an account with Chase. You can vote at both sites if you have both accounts.

Voting lasts through Wednesday, Sept. 19.
