Four Time Olympic Gold Medalist & World Record Holder Dana Vollmer to honored this Saturday evening with the first annual “Protect this Heart “ award by Simon’s Fund.
At the age of 15, Dana Vollmer began to experience dizzy spells. She was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome, which
is a heart arrhythmia. Dana continued to swim, keeping an automated external defibrillator (AED) poolside at all times.
Last summer, Dana set the world record in the 100m
butterfly and won four gold medals in London. She is a passionate advocate for heart health and a worthy recipient of the first annual Simon’s Fund “Protect this Heart “ award.
