Cole's Cookout: Hamels Foundation to Raise School Money at Spring Training

The Hamels Foundation will host ‘Cole’s Cookout’ on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Bright House Field in Clearwater, FL to raise funds for their Namunda School Project.

 ‘Cole’s Cookout’ is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Bright House Field, the Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training facility in Clearwater, Florida. The event will begin immediately following the Phillies game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, which begins at 1:05 EST. The event will feature a BBQ meal, meet-and-greet with Cole and Heidi Hamels along with special guests, complimentary beverages, opportunity to purchase signature Cole Hamels merchandise and autographed memorabilia, and more. Tickets to ‘Cole’s Cookout’ are available for $200/person (includes game ticket) and $175/ticket (does not include game ticket). Tickets to ‘Cole’s Cookout’ must be purchased in advance and all guests must have a game ticket to gain entry into ‘Cole’s Cookout’.

 “The Hamels Foundation is excited to partner with the Phillies to bring ‘Cole’s Cookout’ to the fans in Clearwater,” stated Kelly Anderson, Director of Operations.  “This is an excellent opportunity to raise funds for our Namunda School Project, which is currently under construction in Malawi, Africa.”

 The Hamels Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded by Philadelphia Phillies 2008 World Series MVP and 3-time MLB All-Star pitcher Cole Hamels and his wife Heidi. The Hamels Foundation has a dual mission to provide support for quality education in the Springfield, MO and Philadelphia, PA communities, as well as establish a school in Malawi, Africa.
